O riginally built as a school in the 19th Century and later converted into a public house in 1880, called The Hare & Hounds. The original framed plans can still be seen in the bar.

The pub has changed hands many times over the last 40 years and has been owned by a number of different breweries, but in July 2010 it was bought by the Crosswaite Family who have lived in the local vicinity for nearly 40 years.

The first phase was to turn the Tap Room into an a-la-carte restaurant accommodating up to 40 people.

Our Chef has designed a new menu featuring innovative and interesting dishes to suit all tastes and preferences using locally grown ingredients. To Compliment the a-la-carte menu we also offer a range of specials from Thursday to Saturday.

The second phase was to fully refurbish the bar including fitting patio doors to allow access to the extended patio area so customers can enjoy dining al fresco during the summer months.
